| I read the Conative
Connection about 8 years ago after re-entering the work force.
I thought it was fascinating. Recently, I re-read the book on behalf
of my grown
children... now I'm asking them to read it.
Finding you on the Internet made it an easy sell for me. I think they thought this was just another personality identification process that I've put them through before. Internet access gives the Kolbe Index modern credence in their minds. I was disappointed to see my results. Since I first read the book (I never sent the Index in for your analysis), I thought I was a Facilitator. I don't want to be a resistant Fact Finder! However, I'll accept this as truth, and admit that I'm a wanna-be Fact Finder. I love Fact Finders! I have not read the 6 page results printout as of yet, but I will. I'm confident that it will mirror my true conative makeup. While reading Kathy's book I frequently recognized how she nailed certain instincts squarely on the head. It was eerie. Again, thanks for being so accessible. This is Kathy Kolbe, a fellow resistant Fact Finder! I, too, love Fact Finders. I'm married to one. I hire them. I skim their books. I check out the bottom line of their research. I even try to listen to their stories that get so filled with details. Sometimes I even wish I had their ability with remembering the specifics of past events. Then I realize I wouldn't for a moment give up my ability to simplify all that and get right to the point. As Popeye said,"I am who I am, and that's all that I am," and frankly, if I had to be my own creator, I'd make me just the way I am. That, I hope, applies to you as well. |
