What does a 5-3-9-2 Kolbe MO mean for working with Eric? arrow

A Kolbe MO is a four-number result from the Kolbe A™ Index that describes how a person instinctively takes action. Eric Herrera’s 5-3-9-2 result makes Quick Start his strongest instinct, which means he naturally initiates change, improvises, and creates urgency around new ideas.

For clients, this shows up as energetic, idea-driven sessions that move quickly from insight to action. His moderate Fact Finder gives teams enough context to act without getting lost in detail. His low Follow Thru and Implementor mean he adapts easily to changing agendas and explains concepts through ideas and stories rather than rigid systems or physical models.

Our sales team is talented, but managers and reps constantly clash over how work should get done, and turnover keeps climbing. We've already tried personality assessments and didn't see lasting change. How would working with Eric Herrera be different? arrow

Eric Herrera treats this kind of friction as a mismatch in how people instinctively take action, not as a problem of attitude or skill. Personality assessments describe social style and preferences. The Kolbe A™ Index measures conation, the natural way each person initiates and completes work. A manager who needs structured plans and a rep who thrives on improvising can both be highly capable and still frustrate each other every day.

Working with Eric, team members complete the Kolbe A™ Index. He then uses the results to show where the team’s instincts align, where they collide, and where a mode of action is missing entirely. From there, he helps leaders adjust roles, communication, and expectations so people spend less energy working against their instincts, which is a common source of stress and burnout.

Eric also brings direct sales leadership experience. As a consultant for a large consumer electronics company, he implemented a sales and leadership development program that helped increase top-line revenue by $31 million. Within Kolbe Corp, he doubled sales and grew his team. Results vary by organization, but his focus stays practical: turning people insights into measurable performance.

I'm planning a leadership retreat, and several of our executives are skeptical of assessments. They worry it will feel like a gimmick or put people in boxes. Is Eric Herrera a good fit for that audience? arrow

Yes. Skeptical executive audiences are a good fit for Eric Herrera because the Kolbe A™ Index does not measure intelligence, personality, or emotional traits, and there are no good or bad results. It focuses on how each person naturally gets things done, which executives can check against their own experience right away. Eric’s background in sales and marketing leadership keeps his sessions grounded in business outcomes like productivity, communication, and revenue. His topics “Avoiding ‘Good’ Advice Gone Bad” and “Leading Through Change” are especially relevant for leadership teams.
